A message from our Board of Directors Based in-between Caerphilly and Cardiff, Ridgeway Golf Club and Driving Range is a Social Enterprise, a not for profit organisation run by a voluntary board of directors with the aim of making the game of golf more accessible and open to the whole community. We are lucky to have one most challenging 9 hole courses in the country. Situated in a valley between Cardiff and Caerphilly you would have no idea that over the top of the hill is the Welsh Capital. The course is memorable for its stunning tree-lined setting with views of the Bristol Channel and the Vale of Glamorgan. Most of the holes are relatively short but rest assured every hole has to be played as 'target' golf otherwise your score and your ball will be lost. If you only want a quick 9 holes whilst looking for short golf breaks or a really challenging 18, then the Ridgeway should be on your list of golf courses in Wales. Social enterprises are becoming an increasingly popular business model and some such as John Lewis, Swansea City FC, The Big Issue, Café Direct and the Fifteen-restaurant chain run by Jamie Oliver enjoy high profile success. As a Social enterprises we will compete in the market like any other business pursuing and making profits, but as there are no shareholders these profits will be reinvested back into the club and community helping Ridgeway achieve its goals. Thanks to a loan from the Welsh Governments “Community Investment Fund” we have commenced an ambitious refurbishment programme with the aim of making Ridgeway one of the best facilities in the area. We are pleased to report that during our first year of trading we have achieved many of our goals including:- Employment We have created 9 Full time jobs and 4 part time jobs Membership Prices

Mountain View Restaurant Now serving an excellent menu to both members and visitors alike. Marquee and Function Venue Thanks to funding from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust Ridgeway is now a perfect venue for your function; memorable for its stunning views of the Bristol Channel and the Vale of Glamorgan: Whether you are planning a small family gathering or a lavish reception for a 100 guests our Marquee compliments the main clubhouse and provides a picture perfect setting for affordable Weddings, Meetings, Birthdays, Party’s and Golf Days.
